Youth Sports 50/50 Raffle

A Youth Sports 50/50 raffle typically occurs during every home game for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth and Colorado Rapids.  Fans may purchase tickets online at www.5050colorado.com and in person throughout Pepsi Center for the Avalanche, Nuggets and Mammoth and Dick's Sporting Good Park for the Rapids from the time the doors open until approximately the end of the third quarter in Nuggets and Mammoth games, the end of the second intermission of Avalanche games and approximately halfway through the second half for Rapids games. The winning ticket will be presented as described below, and one lucky fan will win half of the net proceeds from that game's raffle ticket sales.  The other half will benefit CAHA, Kroenke Sports Charities and other designated charities dedicated to youth sports programs in Colorado.

 

About CAHA

Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) is conducting the raffle in cooperation with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.  CAHA is authorized by the Colorado Secretary of State office to conduct raffles under Colorado State raffle license number 2017-11696.  CAHA is the Colorado Affiliate for USA Hockey and USA Hockey is the National Governing Body for amateur hockey under the United States Olympic Committee.  CAHA's primary mission is to administer, promote and grow amateur hockey in the State of Colorado.  Over 90% of CAHA's members are youth 18 years old and younger.

 

50/50 Raffle Official Rules

Who may participate: Participants must be 18 years of age or older.  Employees, officers and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of CAHA are not eligible to participate in the raffle or win a prize.

 

Cash Prize: The more who participate, the larger the prize.  For each raffle, one winner will receive a cash prize of half of the net proceeds.  The net proceeds are the gross pool minus fees and operating costs.  The remaining 50% of all the proceeds will benefit CAHA, Kroenke Sports Charities and other designated charities dedicated to youth sports programs in Colorado.

 

How to purchase tickets: Tickets will be sold online at www.5050colorado.com and for each game (Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth) during pre-game, game and any stoppage time and at each Dick's Sporting Goods Park game (Colorado Rapids).  Tickets may be purchased from uniformed and credentialed CAHA raffle ticket sellers located throughout Pepsi Center or Dick's Sporting Goods Park or online at www.5050colorado.com .

 

Drawing:  

Avalanche games
The winning number will be drawn within 10:00 minutes of the start of the third period.
The winning number will be presented in the Pepsi Center and posted online within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the raffle at www.5050Colorado.com for a minimum of 30 days
Winner does not need to be present to redeem.
The winner will have 30 calendar days to claim their prize.
If no winner claims the prize, the money will be donated to a Colorado youth sports Charity.
 

Nuggets/Mammoth games
The winning number will be drawn within 6:00 minutes of start of fourth quarter.
The winning number will be presented in the Pepsi Center and posted online within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the raffle at www.5050Colorado.com for a minimum of 30 days
Winner does not need to be present to redeem.
The winner will have 30 calendar days to claim their prize.
If no winner claims the prize, the money will be donated to a Colorado youth sports Charity.
 

Rapids Games
The winning number will be drawn within 35:00 minutes of start of the second half.
The winning number will be presented in Dick's Sporting Goods Park and posted online within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the raffle at www.5050Colorado.com for a minimum of 30 days
Winner does not need to be present to redeem.
The winner will have 30 calendar days to claim their prize.
If no winner claims the prize, the money will be donated to a Colorado youth sports Charity.

 

In general, the winning number will be presented in game.  The winning number will be posted on the 5050 website at www.5050Colorado.com within 30 minutes following the conclusion of the raffle for a minimum of 30 days.  The winning number and prize amount may be verified on the 5050 raffle website; www.5050Colorado.com.  The winner does need not be present to win and will have 30 calendar days to claim the prize.  If a winner has not claimed the prize within 30 calendar days of conclusion of the raffle, the winner's eligibility will be forfeited.  If no winner produces a valid winning raffle ticket within 30 calendar days, CAHA will notify the Secretary of State's Office, Raffle Division, and all proceeds will be donated to a Colorado youth sports charity which will be publicly noticed on the 5050 website.

 

To claim a prize:

To claim the prize in person, the winner must present the following to the representative at the Pepsi Center, East Lobby during normal business hours: 1) a photocopy of their valid government issued identification showing the claimant is 18 years or older; 2) the original and official CAHA 5050 winning raffle ticket if the ticket was not purchased online at www.5050colorado.com.  If the winning ticket was purchased online at www.5050colorado.com, the name on the government issued ID submitted with the winning documents MUST match the name submitted when the raffle ticket purchase was made; 3) properly completed IRS tax forms; 4) a signed waiver.  The winner will have 30 calendar days to claim their prize.

 

To claim the prize by mail, the winner must mail 1) a photocopy of their valid government issued identification showing the claimant is 18 years or older; 2) the original and official CAHA 5050 winning raffle ticket if the ticket was not purchased online at www.5050colorado.com.  If the winning ticket was purchased online at www.5050colorado.com, the name on the government issued ID submitted with the winning documents MUST match the name used when the raffle ticket purchase was made; 3) properly completed IRS tax forms; 4) a signed waiver.  The ticket must be visible, complete and all writing legible.  The required IRS tax forms and waiver are found on the website www.5050Colorado.com which must be printed and properly completed prior to mailing.  These documents must be postmarked no later then 30 days from the conclusion of the raffle.  The original and official raffle ticket, completed IRS forms, completed waiver form and a photocopy of the winners government issued identification must be mailed to:

The winner must claim their prize within the specified time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in a disqualification and prize forfeiture.  Cash Prize will be paid to winner by check within 60 days from date winner claims the prize.  In the event of a forfeiture or unclaimed prize, all prize amounts will donated to a Colorado youth sports charity.  Neither Sponsor nor Released Parties is responsible for or shall have any liability whatsoever for lost or stolen tickets, tickets damaged to the point of illegibility or tickets redeemed in error by its agents.  Tickets will be void and prize shall not be paid/redeemed if there is proof the ticket was stolen, unissued, ineligible, altered, counterfeit in whole or in part, defective, printed in duplicate or printed/produced in error.  Unauthorized persons copying, selling, or altering tickets are subject to prosecution.  All costs and expenses associated with claiming the prize and any and all applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

 

General:  By participating in the raffle, each participant (i) is bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, (ii) consents to the use of the winner's name, address (city and state only),  voice and/or photograph for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensations or notifications; (iii) represents and warrants they will not copy or otherwise reproduce or duplicate any ticket in an attempt to alter the raffle in any way; and (iv) will indemnify, defend, hold harmless, release, and waive any and all claims again the Released Parties and each of the respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the raffle, and all of their respective officers, directors, members, managers, employees, agents and representatives for any injury, damage or loss that many occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the raffle or from the receipt or use of any prize or any travel or activity related to the claiming, receipt or use of any Prize.  All tickets, transactions, participants and winners associated with the CAHA 50/50 Raffle are subject to federal and state law, applicable City of Denver ordinances, and these Official Rules and any lawful changes thereof.
